Our New Home!
Dad has been super busy building us our very own room! Grampa even came over to help him with it!
First they constructed a wall to separate us in to pens.
Then Dad laid down the flooring.
Next Mom had to choose a colour to paint it! She wanted something bright and a little fun!
While she worked on the painting, Dad built us each a second level with a ramp. He wanted to maximize the space available and make sure we had lots of places to hop to and hide under!
To finish it off, Dad hung up our photos and installed the doors!
And then, finally we got to explore our new digs!
Finally! A proper place to call home!
Hoppy Monday!
The Big Move!
Phew! What a busy few months it’s been!
Mom and Dad decided to sell their home in February so that we could all have more space! There were things they wanted to finish and fix up first so March became known as Reno Month around here! Dad and Mom are big DIY people so we’re used to all of the noise and being shuffled about!
At the beginning of April, Dad dismantled our condos to stage our room as a spare bedroom. Mom made sure we had plenty of space and made us temporary pens out of the storage grids our condos were built from.
We sold quickly with an early closing date – yikes! Time to get packing!
In the mean time Mom and Dad found their dream home, but unfortunately their move out and move in dates didn’t line up!
So we spent a month in the country with some of Mom’s family. The drive up was squishy – we had to fit all of Mom and Dad’s stuff, our stuff, the dogs stuff, and most importantly, all of us in one trip! Dad is an awesome packer though and made it all work!
We had a great time out there! There were lots of people to give us cookies and snuggles and Mom made sure we had lots of space. We loved to do binkies and laps around the big pens Mom set up for us!
When the month was done, Dad came and picked us all up and we went to another family member’s home for the final week. We weren’t bothered at all – we love a good adventure – and were happy to get out of our carriers and stretch our legs! We are seasoned travellers now!
And finally on July 4th, Mom and Dad got the keys to our new home! They were so excited, Mom was jumping up and down! By the end of the night all of the fur family was reunited at the new home and we finally have a place to call our own again!
Rabbits Are Not Easter Gifts!
With Easter just around the corner, I wanted to remind everyone about the time, care and dedication that pet rabbit’s require.
Every year thousands of rabbits, baby chicks, ducks and guinea pigs are purchased as adorable Easter pets only to be ditched weeks later at shelters or abandoned outdoors when the child they were purchased for tires of them.Â
Rabbits are a 10 year commitment. They require at least 3-6 hours of free range exercise time daily. Store bought cages are not large enough to house your rabbit and provide all of the necessities he/she needs to be happy and healthy. Rabbits love to chew and dig so if you don’t properly rabbit proof your house cords, carpet, clothing, bedding and furniture can all become victims to what is a natural instinct. When they reach their teenager years (usually starting around 4-6 months of age) they will develop some nasty habits like lunging, growling, humping and marking their territory if you don’t have them spayed or neutered. Rabbits are social animals who require constant interaction with you or preferably another fixed rabbit. Rabbits need a constant supply of hay as well as pellets and fresh veggies fed daily and should see a vet at least once a year for a check-up.
If you are seriously considering adding a rabbit to your family, please do your research and consider visiting your local rescue about a month after Easter has passed. This will be when those cute and cuddly Easter rabbits start showing up on their doorstep.
I would like to also remind everyone that rabbits are the third most abandoned animal at shelters after cats and dogs.
So this year, resist the temptation and opt for a chocolate or stuffed Easter bunny instead!Â

Bunny Lounging
Us bunnies are all business. And today’s focus is serious lounging.
Sometimes we enjoy a good flop in our condo after a hard day of playing.
Sometimes we enjoy an afternoon siesta in our favourite play areas.
And sometimes we just want some extra lovin’ from our Mom!
Hoppy Monday!
Chin Wars
The first thing I do when Mom lets me out for the day? Rub my chin on everything!
I have scent glands under my chin so when I rub things it tells other bunnies this is mine!
Like this box for instance. I love this box and now it’s mine.
I have to make sure to cover all entrances. Otherwise someone might try to claim it as their own!
Oh and just in case you didn’t know, Honey is mine too!
Hoppy Monday!
Best Time Of The Day?
Well veggie time of course!
Willow prefers to nibble politely on hers throughout the morning.
Ollie is all business and even gets his paws on there to yank out those tasty morsels!
Honey prefers the head tilt, angling herself to get those little pieces that are sliding out of the ball.
And Rocky waits for Honey to drop a piece before snatching it up!
Yum yum!
It’s Adopt A Rescue Rabbit Month!
Did you know that February is Adopt A Rescue Rabbit Month?
Unfortunately rabbits are the third most abandoned animal at shelters. Unlike what you may have heard, these animals are not ‘starter’ pets. Rabbits need the attention and commitment of a cat or dog, require several hours of daily free range exercise and do best with a companion of their own kind.
So Why Adopt A Rabbit?
1) Rabbits can be easily litter trained.
2) Rabbits are extremely social and love to interact with you.
3) Rabbits have a life span of approximately 8-10 years.
4) Rabbits are fairly quiet, do not require outside bathroom trips or frequent walks.
5) With some rabbit proofing, rabbits make great and clean house pets!
A rabbit is not for everyone. Please make sure to check out our videos including Is A Rabbit The Right Pet For You?
And if you’re not ready to make the commitment but are still passionate about these wonderful animals, please consider making a donation to your local rabbit rescue or shelter. Your contribution could help neuter or spay a rabbit in need, provide food and temporary housing or pay for any required medical treatment.
My Favourite Toy!
Hey guys! Willow here to tell you all about my favourite toy!
This here is a hard plastic rattle roller! It’s meant for cats but that doesn’t bother me! The pieces make it easy for me to get my teeth around it just like so!
Then I can move it, toss it…
…throw it…
…or just make some noise! Hoppy Monday!
The Bunnies Get Ready For Halloween!
The small pets and I have been busy getting in the Halloween spirit! We have decorated the Pet Room and cages to suit the creepy mood of the season! We’ve added pumpkins, spooky garland, candles and lanterns around the room. Now the only question is, trick…or treat?
Hoppy Halloween Everybunny!
Visiting Bales4Bunnies!
It was such a beautiful Autumn day on Sunday and we were getting quite low on hay so Hubby and I arranged to meet up with the bunderful Robyn of Bales4Bunnies! Robyn is always so welcoming! We had a great visit with her and she let us hang out with the rabbits for a bit before continuing on our way.
This time around we picked up four bales of hay which should last us around five months with our six hay nomming pets. The bales were a lovely green colour and smelled so sweet and delicious it made me even want to nibble on some! Robyn’s hay never disappoints and our pets can’t seem to get enough!
If you’re in the Peterborough area, you should check out their website:

My bunnies love their hay and you can’t beat the price!
